Brown Bear, Brown Bear...

Hello, again! Eric Carle is one of my favorite children's authors. So needless to say, when I saw this kit I had to get it! A few months back I got the Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt kit after seeing it in a magazine. I made it and sold it. When I went to order my second kit for a baby in England (an Esty request) I saw the Brown Bear kit and before I could blink, I clicked and it was in my shopping cart!

I bought my kits from Ladyfigers Sewing Studio. The kits come with patterns/instructions and all you need except for the batting. They are quiet generous with their fabric, so I can re-invent the wheel and make my own pattern... What's wrong with me? LOL! It would be too easy to follow instructions! :)

I did not follow the pattern for the Brown Bear quilt but I LOVE what I came up with. My quilt is a little smaller than what they created so I have a leftover to make other cute baby stuff... (I have an idea brewing already!)

And if you are wondering who the Brown Bear quilt is for... well, it's for a very special baby boy, Samuel Federico. My cousin's first baby. Congrats to her and her hubby!
